| Wisconsin Power and Light Company submitted an application in February 2007 for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to build a 300 MW coal electric generating facility at one of two locations; either at the Nelson Dewey Generating Station (NED) in Cassville, WI or at the Columbia Energy Center(COL), near Portage, WI. The application is currently being reviewed by the Public Service Commission. |
