Kathryn Sachs - Executive Director

Kathryn Sachs is the Executive Director of E4, Inc.  She graduated magna cum laude from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she studied geography and environmental studies.  Her work has largely related to energy policy and social justice issues ranging from examining the social and environmental costs of wind power off the coast of Nantucket to the effects of hydropower projects on aboriginal lands in Manitoba. As the Executive Director of E4, Inc. she gives presentations and writes Op-Ed articles, educational treatises and letters to the editor on energy, energy efficiency, environmental, and state and national policy issues.

 
   
   
Elizabeth Gamsky Rich - Legal Advisor  
Ms. Rich is an attorney, the legal advisor for E4, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors. Ms. Rich has practiced environmental and energy law in Wisconsin for 20 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Millikin University in 1980. She received her Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Illinois in 1984. She was an associate, and later a shareholder, at Godfrey & Kahn SC in Milwaukee from 1984-1995. She left that firm to join Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC as a shareholder and head of the firm’s Environmental Law Practice Group from 1995-1999. Since 1999, she has operated her own firm and has continued to practice in the areas of energy, environmental and land use law. She helped form E4 in May of 2003, and has served as the organization's Executive Director. In her capacity as Executive Director of E4, she has testified before the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and the Governor’s Task Force on Energy Efficiency and Renewables.
